Dr. Debra Brause has a private practice in Los Angeles, CA where she works with teens, adults, and couples from a psychodynamic perspective. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received her doctorate at the California School of Professional Psychology in 2005. Dr. Brause trained at the Maple Counseling Center and completed a postgraduate fellowship at The Wright Institute in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. She is also a blogger for Psychology Today.
Dr. Brause is the mother of a neurodivergent teen and specializes in working with parents raising neurodivergent children as well as autistic adults. She lectures on Neurodiversity to graduate psychology students and is a member of the Vista Autism Project at Vista del Mar, where she is training to work psychoanalytically with autistic youth.
